Curt Smith Jr. made it to the Quarter Finals during the rescheduled CCRA event from Kinston Drag Strip held at GALOT Motorsports Park on Saturday Night. Curt Jr. would have earned the bye to his fourth final round in the last two years if he had won the Quarter Final race. Curt Jr. earned valuable points for the season points race, moving from 11th place in points to 8th place.
