Earl Smith debuts new 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air with the revolutionary 348 three deuces Chevrolet Engine
1962
Earl teams up with best friend and local successful businessman Junior Lundy to create the Smith & Lundy Racing Team
1964
Earl debuts new 1964 Chevrolet 409 Bel Air Station Wagon in E/Stock. Earl goes undefeated during 1964 in the Carolinas with the combination
1970
2nd generation driver Curtis Smith competes in his first national event and earns runner-up honors
1978
Earl Smith sets the NHRA national speed record for G/Stock
1984
Curtis Smith wins the second most prestigious race in the country, the NHRA Summernationals

Curtis Smith wins back-to-back IHRA U.S. Open Nationals
1990
Earl Smith wins the IHRA Tosti Asti Fall Nationals at the age of 60

Curtis Smith wins the NHRA Winston Invitational

Curtis Smith wins his 4th Fall Nationals in six years

Curtis Smith wins 4th IHRA Winternationals trophy, earning him the nickname "Mr. Winternationals"
